Norway between the EU and Russia in the Arctic

On December 3 The Norwegian Institute of International Affairs held the seminar Norway between the EU and Russia in the Arctic.

In his presentation "Driving forces motivating the EU’s Arctic engagement and key trends in policy development" Steffen Weber, programme associated individual, covered the EU's interests and concerns in the Arctic region and its consequences for Norwegian foreign policy in the High North.

NUPI senior research fellow Elana Wilson Rowe gave a presentation "Coming into the cold. Russia, Norway and new actors in the North".

Programme Manager Kristine Offerdal provided a commentary on the two presentations.
